A: abject -

1) is to the maximum amount.
example:
They lived in abject povert.

2) no dignity or pride.
Her apology was abject.

disdain-

1) doesn't deserve (somebody's) respect or thought.
example:
I could see the disdain in his eyes.

contempt-

1) feels like (someone/something) is below them
example:
The officer looked at me in contempt.

2) to ignore (something)
He proved his contempt for their ideas.

side note: in law, this is used when you are disrespectful in a court room.
example:
you have been found guilt of contempt of court by lying.

disregard-

1) to ignore
example:
They completely disregard anything I say.
