A: Here’s a list of questions from the exam I took yesterday.
B: OK, ask me some. [perfectly OK because “list of questions from the exam I took yesterday” defines “some”—we know what it refers to]

If you walk up to someone and just say “Ask me some!” that person will say “Some what?” (and think you’re a little crazy). The person will not understand.

If nothing is defined, then you can say “Ask me something” and the person will know you are referring to a thing that hasn't been specified yet.
