A: I am excited for this event. That movie is sure to thrill. The two words are effectively interchangeable with thrill more commonly be used to refer to things that release adrenaline, like a carnival ride, or a scary movie. Excited can be used more accurately with something that someone will do the they “can’t wait” for and is likely to make them very happy. Both words are used on oneself and on others. I’m sure there is another factor of this use that I’m missing but this should be a good start.
