Every language has synonyms, or words that have the same meaning (like ‘big’ and ‘large’, for example). The options you gave all have basically the same meaning. Another very common one is ‘to put up a tent’.

The opposite... let me think...

‘To take down a tent’
‘To pack up a tent’
‘To tear down a tent’
‘To pack away a tent’
‘To put away a tent’
‘To gather a tent’ like you said.

There’s lots of different ways you can say these things, and there is not always any difference in meaning :)

The only changes I would make would be to either give the full proper name of the park "... located at Pisgah National Forest.", or just leave it at "... located at the National Forest." I would say the full proper name myself.

I would change "plenty of playing spots" to "plenty of 'areas/places' to play, such as..." Add a comma after the word popular and it would look very natural to me.

To= you have never gone/went to their camp

- I have never been to your camp
- I have never been inside of your camp
