關於Commoditisation的意思和用法的提問

A: These are very academic words. While most people would understand the rough idea of the meaning of those words, I don't think most English speakers could confidently tell the difference between them unless they studied or worked in buisness/ economic sector (which I don't).

Commoditisation (Commoditization) is arguably not a word. Especially with the 's' as the use of this 'word' is mostly in English (US). Commodization has a Wikipedia page but isn't in the dictionary (yet). The word you might be looking for is Commodification? Which is a Marxist economic term.

If I were to take a stab at the meaning of these words:

Commericalisation:
Process of making profit out of something in a market

Commodification:
Process of something receiving market value to be traded in a market economy
