A: Comparable means the same thing as "similar."

Another word that people often confuse with comparable is commensurate. They say comparable when they mean commensurate.
Commensurable mean that two or more things are on the same level of importance or value.

"You are being promoted and your new title is commensurate with your hard work work and devotion."

Comparative: this is kind of complicated. there are several meanings here, but the simplest is that one thing is more ...something... than the other. You are using one thing as a basis to describe something - in other words, measuring some quality by comparing one thing to another. I actually don’t think we use this word very often.

Ex.
He preferred the comparative comfort of his own home. (He finds his own home more comfortable when he compares it to other places)

She is a comparative newcomer in the company. (She is newer compared to other workers in the company).

A: Comparable is more like similar, and equivalent is more like same. Two cakes, chocolate and vanilla, are comparable, but have differences. Two chocolate cakes are equivalent, while a chocolate cake and vanilla cake aren't equivalent.

The word seems like it means "can be compared", 하지만 it only means "similar to something else."

A: oh my fault! I actually think they have two different meanings depending on how you pronounce it. I just looked on google and “comPARable” is a noun meaning “something suitable for comparison” and COMprable is an adjective “of equivalent quality”.

Examples:
noun: the achievements of an athlete and a writer are not comparable.
adjective: nobody is comparable with this athlete
