I think it sounds a little more natural to say, "scuba diving".

A: They can be grammatically correct either way. In one case the -ing verb is a gerund, and in the other case it is a participle.

However, all four of them sound odd. I'd say "What if he went diving for a vacation?" and "What if we did work for him?"

A: * I finished my free diving AIDA2 course a few weeks ago in Kenting and I passed the exam!! I took home my free diving fins with me from the US because they were cheaper than they are (to purchase) here. I look forward to diving again!
