"go to ____" requires a destination(place), and karaoke is not a place.
"I'm going to go to the zoo".
"I'm going to go to school"
"I'm going to go to New York".

But in casual conversation, I don't think anyone would raise any eyebrows over it.

If you wanted to get picky about it, you could say,
"I'm going to go to a karaoke bar/box".
OR make it into an action (albeit rather forcibly)
"I'm going to go do karaoke".

It's tricky since it's an imported word and we don't necessarily have one word that collocates with it 100%. (i.e. "do karaoke" vs "sing karaoke" vs "practice karaoke")... 日本語だと「カラオケに行く」とか「カラオケをする」とかは問題ないのにね。。
