關於Possibly的意思和用法的提問

A: It can mean that something might happen or it might not
e.g. The weatherman said it could possibly rain today

or is can mean that something is there or not there
e.g It's possible the key is in my bag.

or that a thing is one thing or another
e.g, It was dark and I thought the sound was possibly a cat.

Basically it's used when you're unsure.

If someone asked, “Can you come over later?”
You can reply, “Possibly.”

arguably: when there's room for a different opinion, when something is not the absolute truth and someone can say otherwise
