constrain -> reduce the extent of something.
"His parents constrained him to his room."

A: Restrict can mean 禁止. It can also mean 控える.

Limit can mean 限界.
It can also mean 控える

So they can be similar, but depending on the situation it only one or the other can be used. (If the meaning is meant to be 控える then either one can be used)

Restrain: is to hold back (prevent someone from doing something).

“She was told to restrain her dog.”

A: When you restrict something, you're keeping others from being able to do that task. For example, you might restrict people to only being able to explore the first story of your house when they come by to visit. If you restrain someone, you are physically holding the person down in some way. For example, younger restrain someone with handcuffs.
