A: Scooby Doo is a cartoon character dog who loved snacks.

In the United States, we have real food labelled as “Scooby snacks” with his picture on them.

“Snacks like I’m Scooby” probably means I like to eat snacks a lot.

Make sense? :)

A: It refers to the little things you eat between meals. For example

Breakfast
snack
lunch
snack
dinner
snack

A: They are the same, but you would say to your friends, we are having munchies or snacks. If you are inviting your teacher or you boss, or a more formal social gathering, you would say refreshments. Refreshments almost always means including drinks of some kind. Drinks are not included if you say snacks.

A: So "to eat something up" does have the meaning you want, but not really the connotation. I don't know how to explain it, but it's usually something you hear in a nursery rhyme or something a parent says to their children e.g. "If you don't eat up your veggies, you won't get dessert" (read in baby voice).

Also I think "after opening them" is a little redundant, since you already said the first part about the snacks getting stale.

I would say: "Snacks get stale once the bag is opened, so we should finish them all as soon as we can, otherwise they won't be crunchy anymore"
