A: Saying that a person is "stupid" usually describes their intelligence. It is worse than saying they are "foolish" or "dumb" but not as bad as saying that they are "idiotic" or "moronic." A person can be "ignorant" (not know important facts or information) but not be "stupid" -- ignorant people have the ability to think and reason, but lack the education/information. A stupid person can have all the relevant information and still reach an incorrect conclusion.

Saying that an object, idea, TV show, etc. is "stupid" means that it has no value, that it is a waste of time.

A: Mindless has the nuance of thoughtless or purposeless as in 'mindless violence'. It is equivalent to heedless or unintelligent as in 'a mindless reply'.
As to 'stupid', it is equivalent to 'unintelligent' but also foolish as in 'a stupid mistake'.

A: "Stupid" is quite mild and generic. "Don't wear your hat like that, it looks stupid."

"Ridiculous" suggests that whatever it is is laughably stupid, and suggests more contempt. "You look ridiculous with that dress on."

"Absurd" is stronger than "ridiculous", both in how stupid the thing is, and in how much contempt is shown. "It's absurd for you to say that I should dress like that."
