A: If I am unsure, I don't know the answer to a question with 100% confidence.
I can be unsure and still feel fundamentally safe. (Because maybe the question doesn't matter, or doesn't affect me.)

If I am insecure, I feel like I am not safe. Maybe I feel threatened, or maybe I feel like bad things are in the future, or maybe I feel like I am not good enough to fit in and keep the good things I have in my life.
I can be insecure and still know exactly where things stand. (It's REALLY not a good feeling when you know you're right. haha)
