I live and work in Canada and every day I communicate by email, Zoom, and telephone with employees in India, China, Mexico, Brazil, as well as twenty other countries around the world. Reading sentences created by new English speakers gives me the opportunity to think carefully about creating clear communications in English. Also, it helps me know about words, phrases, and forms that confuse people who are just learning English so that I can avoid confusing them. Finally, it helps me understand the structure and usage of other languages, so I can gain insight into how people around the world think and interact.
