hmm...to me, has to be "the" because it is a known class; the class where the said method is being used.

@Mydeh Depends on what you are talking about. "A" is general. If you are referring to classes in general. "The" is specific, for instance if you’re talking about your own class.

@Mydeh This is a bit more complex to explain. "A class" in this context is used as an expression for "classes." Both are plural foams of expression. If you were to say "Not only does this action not help teachers, it might cause chaos in the classes." That is also correct.

@Mydeh In a more professional setting I would use "the teachers". It’s not really needed in informal speaking.
