ain't é usado em situações bem informais, para qualquer um dos sujeitos. Se a situação for formal, ain't não soa bem.

"ain't" and "isn't" mean the same thing, but they're used differently. "ain't" is a contraction of am/are not, and "isn't" is a contraction of "is not". For example, "isn't" can't be used when speaking in the first person, so you can say "I ain't going to school today" but you can't say "I isn't going to school today". The first person version of "isn't" is am not, so you could say "I am not/I'm not going to school today". "ain't" is slang, so you shouldn't use it in formal settings. Pretty much wherever you could use isn't, you could use ain't instead in a casual/informal setting.

To start, ain't is not proper English and should not be used unless you're directly quoting someone that used it. Song title; "It Ain't Necessarily So" Should be, "It Isn't Necessarily So" in proper English.
