Good afternoon, everyone! I am XX from class 301. You can also call me Estelle. I am a sophomore now, and my major is applied English. I always keep one thing in mind, which is that attitude is altitude! So I'm very glad to be able to stand here and give this speech. Actually, I have waited a long time for this moment. The topic of my speech today is "Traditional Reading or Digital Reading".

Here exists a debate on whether we should promote traditional reading or digital reading. Different people sing a different tune.
Those in favor of traditional reading think that traditional reading should be protected and inherited because it has a long history. In addition, traditional reading can focus our attention while digital reading tends to divert our attention from reading. When you are reading online, there are various temptations there to lure you towards other things. Only in traditional reading can you feel a true touch. When you read a book, you can take notes if necessary. Last but not least, traditional reading is more accurate nowadays. Digital reading is easy to be used, but it is currently faced with some problems. There are many mistakes within it, which will lead people astray.

Other people contradict that opinion. They hold onto the belief that people have the ability to choose the correct information that they need. Besides, digital reading is more convenient because you are able to read anywhere your heart desires. Moreover, digital reading can save an abundance of paper, which will benefit our environment!
As far as I'm concerned, we can neither choose the traditional reading nor have a preference towards digital reading. We should develop the strong points and avoid the weak ones in each respective option.

Other people contradict that opinion they hold that people have the ability to choose the correct information that they need.Besides,digital reading is more convenient,wherever you go,you always can do digital reading if you want.Moreover,digital reading can save quantities papers, which can benefit our environment!
