What are the usual signs of flirting in Spain? Long story short had a study abroad roommate and she became like a little sister to me; but everyone thought me and her were a thing. I understood the concept of a peck on the cheek and affection is in the Spanish culture so what would someone deem as flirting or liking someone if that's a norm? Hopefully that makes sense.

@OperadorSuave I don’t know if I could help you but I think it all depends on the person not everyone thinks the same way but it is true that in Spain people is more affectionate and if someone is a good friend with you for most of Spanish people is normal to kiss him/her. So I would say it a friendship sing but you never know because only someone knows what their acts mean.

Hmmm we kiss in the check for greetings, that's true, but that's very perfunctory.
If a girl kisses you in the check for "no reason" that's very flirty.
It all depends on the person, there are some who are very physically affectionate, and some who are a bit shy or don't like touching that much.

It can be an indicative of someone trusting you though. That + usual flirting (teasing, winking) + trying to make someone laugh + laughing at their jokes + trying to catch their attention... idk~
