@124coconuthead 'acknowledge many different things'? I don't see how that fits into what @jessika12 is trying to say? Acknowledge and knowledge are two completely different concepts.

Acknowledge is a verb that is used when someone becomes aware of something or is contemplating the importance of a subject.
'acknowledge many different things' can in fact, be used in the same way for the whole phrase. I guess a more simple way of saying it would be:
"To take in different types of information."

@124coconuthead You are still using acknowledge in an improper manner. 'Take in different types of information' is better.
A variety of courses in several colleges could help students to become familiar with different kinds of knowledge.
There are two kind of courses in college: online courses and lecture courses.
(The biggest problem with this paragraph @jessika12 is that it is not one paragraph, but two completely different thoughts. In your first thought you are speaking to your suggestion that students should take a variety of courses, but in the second, you are speaking to the fact that there are different physical ways of taking classes. The two need to be tied together somehow if you are going to put them in one paragraph.)
