The punctuation serves as a tool to make the context or idea of the phrase/conversation more clearer and accurate. In this case the context is sufficiently clear and does not require any punctuation. But the main difference would be this.
Chanel also changed the image of the color black; which was usually used for mourning dresses. (dresses worn for mourning) and
Chanel changed the image of the color black which was usually used for mourning dresses.
The second statement implies that Chanel changed the image of the color black. Because the color black was used for mourning dresses. (to actually cry and mourn for dresses)
That would only be the main difference if you decided to really break down the sentence structure.

@shiyeon what's the difference between the first sentence with punctuation and the second sentence without punctuation.

@unoriginal267 You mean the image of color black is sufficiently clear in the context, but why do you think that is clear? What is the basis of accuracy?

The comma should be there. It separates the main clause of the sentence and the subordinate clause that is merely adding clarifying information. The part before the comma can stand as its own sentence, but the part after can't. And when speaking this sentence, you would naturally pause and take a breath at the spot the comma is in, which is always a good indicator.
