I heard Americans don't say optimistic or introvert but they use other words common among them.. what are they? and what other common words do they use instead of the classical or what's being taught to an ELL.... is there a channel on YouTube that helps me get a better understanding between the slangs and common expressions instead of the classical words? also if a foreigner who is fluent in English yet use these classical words how can you tell it's a foreigner from his use of English?

Americans will use "optimistic" and "introvert" quite often, when appropriate, in my experience. I always have. We also use their opposites "pessimistic" and "extrovert". That is, provided these words are part of the speaker's vocabulary. English is a large language and the size of a speaker's active vocabulary can be quite different depending on age, education, and social environment.

@demeta930 They're both used. I think the difference in word choice likely says something about the speaker's background or the intended audience. For example, I'm a bit older and well-educated and wouldn't use upbeat unless I'm speaking to a child or think the recipient might not know the word "optimistic". Unless, of course, I choose I'm choosing to use "optimistic" just to be didactic. But now I realized I likely shouldn't have used "didactic" as now you might have to run to a dictionary. :-) But go ahead, it's a good word too (that no one uses).
Anyway, younger speakers might be more likely to use upbeat, especially in casual settings.

@demeta930 English seems to evolve very quickly so it's very hard to stay current with slang. In fact, here's a humorous TED Talk by a lexicographer that actually encourages us to make up new words: https://www.ted.com/talks/erin_mckean_go_ahead_...
And if you liked that talk, here's another by the same lady that's also quite funny:
