Yes, English (and math) can be irritating at times. 😅

I don’t think there’s a specific reason. It’s just the convention. We can write them so that they’re all nouns. They might not be used commonly, but they should be understood easily.

(noun) associativity law
(noun) commutativity law
(noun) distributivity law
(noun) identity law

We can write them as adjectives too, except for identity as far as I know.

(adj) associative law
(adj) commutative law
(adj) distributive law
(noun) identity law
