"should" isn't rude but it's a bit more direct than "you might want to" so it's sort of less polite but not to the point of being rude. Other options would be:
"You could xyz"
"xyz is an idea"
"One option would be xyz"
"what about xyz?"
"maybe you could try xyz"
"I feel like xyz might be a good idea"

@Sabrina_Madeline "You should" is more forceful. Native speakers do say "You should" but yes, it can sound bossy or pushy. "You might want to..." is softer.
