I'm sorry if this question may seem a bit confusing.
I'm currently studying kanji and grammar. I have seen many videos/websites telling me to not write all of the kanji I learn. They say things like, 'it's okay as long as you can read and say them.'
I have the げんき textbook and workbook. They teach me new kanji in every lesson. This is where my question comes in. Do I practice writing these kanji before I continue the lesson, or is it okay if I just know how to read them?

When I was little I used to practice every kanji appeared in the textbook.So does my 6 years-old daughter now.
However, in this day and age, thanks to PC or mobile phone, we write kanji by ourselves much less than before. It would
be ideal if you could spend time for practiceing all kanjis, however, I think it is also OK if you can at least read them.

However, in this day and age, thanks to PC or mobile phone, we write kanji by ourselves much less than before. It would
be ideal if you could spend time for practiceing all kanjis, however, I think it is also OK if you can at least read them.
