@JohnKD thank you! yeah I really love this song and wondered how natives usually say that sentence😅 so you don't have to pronounce "g" in coming here?

Actually I wouldn't pronounce the "g" in "coming" or "doing" in normal speech. I over-pronounced it in the other audio clip.

@massive You can certainly pronounce the "g" sounds if you like. It's easy to understand what you said.
If I were to write how he actually sings it, it would be: "Comin' outta my cage and I been doin' just fine."
Classic song, too. 😁

@JohnKD many natives would struggle to understand what I'm saying if I use a lot of omitting in my speaking like that😅
yeah that seems literally more like what he pronounces in the song! singers often seem to need simplify a lot of sounds to sing smoothly. I've found that many American singers say words like "girl" or "world" in a little bit different ways when they sing

@massive Yeah, the words can change a little to fit the melody or to rhyme.
By the way if you want to sing that during karaoke then you're good to go. 😁

@JohnKD thank you! Yeah I love doing karaoke in my room alone😂 this kind of singing like speaking part( verse?) in English songs is harder for me to sing than more emotional parts 😅
