Apples and oranges – both of them are to be considered together. Apples + Oranges
Apples or oranges – you have to make a decision between these two. You must choose only one

@thetrees Thank you. Do you mean the first sentence I said means I hate both?

Sorry, I'm tired and I didn't read your question correctly. You said that you DON'T like them
Most people would understand these two sentences as meaning the same thing – you don't like either one of these fruits.
There really is no meaningful difference between the two sentences

@thetrees Oh! really?
in Japan, the first means "I don't like both apples and oranges.
The second one means "I don't like either apples or oranges.
Is this idea of mine wrong?

Most people will interpret both sentences as meaning the same thing - "I don't like apples. I also don't like oranges."
Technically the first sentence ("apples and oranges") could mean "I don't like some mixture of apples and oranges." But that isn't a common combination, so in reality no one is going to interpret it in that way.

@JohnKD Thank you! So you mean " I don't like apples and oranges" and "I don't like apples nor oranges" are the same meaning?

@JohnKD Thank you. By the way, how about "I don't like both apples and oranges."?
Also, "I don't like apples but oranges." Are these the same as those setences?

@0227_junya To me "I don't like both apples and oranges" is the same as the other two sentences.
"I don't like apples but oranges" is a bit of a strange sentence. I would interpret it to mean "I don't like apples, but I do like oranges."

I learned " I don't like both apples and oranges"means "I don't like only apples, or
I don't like only oranges."
Also, "I don't like apples but oranges" means "It is oranges that I don't
like. I like apples."
Is my understanding wrong?

@0227_junya I think you're misunderstanding.
"I don't like both apples and oranges." = "I don't like apples. I also don't like oranges."
"I don't like apples but oranges." = "I don't like apples. I like oranges."
Again, "I don't like apples but oranges," isn't a common way to say that sentence. I think you're more likely to hear "I don't like apples but I do like oranges."
