@cavefundoo Is exactly that, 4 miles separated from whatever the contextual point of origin happens to be. If we are talking about a restaurant and I give directions to the bus stop, I may say "The bus stop is 4 miles away from the restaurant."

Away means at a distance but does not imply a distance. Far implies a great distance.
