Do the following sentences sound natural?

One of the things that the foreigners will be surprised when they visit Japan is "otoshi." The otoshi is a small dish which is provided without ordering and we have to pay for it in Japanese pubs. When we explain it to foreigners, they may understand well if we say it is like a tip.

Yes but you should say surprised about, otherwise it won’t sound complete
