the first one is clearer to me. both of them can mean that it's hard to be around a courting couple, or that it's hard to be in the same house as a girl who is being courted by a young man. without context, the meaning itself is a bit ambiguous.
however, the first one sounds more natural and would cause less confusion for me. I don't know about other people, though.
