Is this sound natural?
※about Japanese phrase ”いい加減にしろ”
Kanji 加 means "add", 減 means "subtract", hence 加減 means adjusting (by add/subtract).
Therefore いい加減 (good adjustment) should mean “moderate”, and in fact, it does, but doesn’t always used by this meaning.
Normally, いい加減 means "irresponsible" for some reason.
Nonetheless, いい加減にしろ! doesn’t mean “be irresponsible!”.😆
Tricky, isn’t it?
In this phrase, いい加減 is more like “moderate” than "irresponsible".
So いい加減にしろ have the nuance of “you’ve gone too far”, “you crossed the line”.
Other word 適当 also have two completely different meanings, “appropriate” and "irresponsible" like いい加減.
I’m not so sure if this is what you need, nor my English is easy to understand, but I hope this helps!
Thank you!

About what you wrote, that's very interesting. And a bit confusing! Those meanings are completely opposite!

@gelatine Thank you for correcting! I really appreciate it.
About “nor”, is it incorrect, or just unnatural or uncommon?
Because I want to know the way I don’t have to use “if” twice, if there is.

>What about the word 勘弁する?
Very interesting !!
勘弁 means "pardon", "forgiveness".
Therefore 勘弁してくれ should mean “pardon me”, “forgive me” and in fact, it does.
I mean, if it was a more polite way like 勘弁してください, you can say it just like 許してください.
But it also used as phrase meaning like, “come on, you can’t do that to me!” many times (when they did nothing wrong) like you said.
So I looked it up and found out 勘弁 originally means like “consider well and be reasonable”.
Thus, it also means “not doing what would bring disadvantage to another person.
Therefore 勘弁 used for things not only what they did, but also what they don’t want (to).
Does this make sense to you?

@steelyamauchi Your sentence needs "if".
--> "nor if my"
That would be correct. However, I feel like the word "nor" is not used that often these days, which is why I changed it to "or". "Nor" feels a bit formal.
Also, thanks for the info about 勘弁!

@gelatine Thank you!So, I need two "if"s with or without "nor", I got it. Then there's no need to use "nor" for me.
Please 勘弁 if my explanation was hard to understand. Japanese is a tricky language and hard to explain, especially in English!
