"Drunk" means you are temporarily inebriated from drinking a lot of alcohol in a short amount of time. As a noun, it is synonymous with alcoholic.
"Alcoholic" means you are addicted to drinking alcohol. It can also refer to a beverage that contains alcohol but that's easy to figure out from the context.
"My alcoholic father gets drunk every day before work."

Ah, my mistake. Drunk is indeed used a noun (and it means alcoholic) but I hardly ever hear it so I assumed you were referring to the adjective form. :)
I would call my father a drunk, yes. ;)
