It's too vague for a woman to complete a man. I think this is a satire or proverb. But I don't understand. The expression that a metaphor is also... Does metaphor literally mean a figurative expression?

metaphor is a figurative expression he was maybe using it to talk about those cute little things people thay love each other say like

-There my sunshine
-There the only flower in my garden
