the second one is also used in chinese, if your japonese keyboard allows both formats then it means they are both alright

@JeanSlashDot Thank you. It's somehow a bit confusing when there's a lot of traditional and new ones to memorize because of its differences of strokes, I guess maybe both kanjis are needed to study.

凛 this is the format used in the simplified chinese and 凛 this is the format used as the kanji reference, Im pasting them from different fields built in my deck from a kaji vs simplified chinese spreadsheet

@JeanSlashDot thank you for an awesome tip, for the longest time I'm studying I wasnt that much aware about the differences. It really gave me a twist right now. Another thing again to memorize 😅

@Gail_Dimson Ill look up the website I used for kanji reference, there are a few (maybe 5) standard kanji with 2 writing formats, for instance: 填 塡

@Gail_Dimson https://hochanh.github.io/rtk/rtk1-v6/index.html heres the website that uses remembering the kanji method. (you can literally learn all kanji 3k in less than 3 months with this method)

@Gail_Dimson What you can do is go to jisho and search the kanji up, it will show you word exemples using the kanji format used to write the word. Like youre dictionary only shows word exemples with the 澟
