l am trying to find a good equivalent to:
l'm going out to do some errands.
l don't think 'errands' is used very much in modern English.
I don't want to say "shopping" or what l have to do specifically ... so can you help me here ?

I have a few ideas that might help you.
- I have some things to do.
- I'm going out to do some things.
- I have to take care of a few things.
- I have to take care of some business.
- I have some bits and bobs to do.
- I have some bits and bobs to take care of.
I've heard British people say "stuff", but I think it's much more common in America.
- I have some stuff to do.
- I'm going out to do some stuff.
