You wouldn't really use pungent that often as a word. Except to say 'there was a really pungent odour coming out of that room' or similar, to mean a really strong smell, and most of the time to mean a bad smell.
Instead the most natural way to say these things would be:

1. it tastes stronger. there will be a stronger coffee taste.

2. hitting my nostrils, irritating my nostrils.

3. is too strong, I prefer milder fragrances.

4. with a pungent aroma, or a strong odour/scent
