I managed to barricade the entrance. 是什麼意思

I don't know why this sentence is not use "build".

If you want the tenses to match, you need to say "I built a barricade at the entrance." But it would be more natural to say "I managed to barricade the entrance." The reason is that "I built a barricade at the entrance" sounds almost like you built a barricade near or by the entrance, and possibly that you didn't block it completely so that people wouldn't be able to enter. "Barricading the entrance" means that you blocked the entrance completely off.
