Step 1) The person or thing doing the action is written in the possessive case (eg The team's; his; my, etc). This goes first.
Step 2) Nominalise the verb, or convert the verb into continuous tense (eg leave -> leaving; win -> winning; decide -> deciding, etc). This goes after the possessive case
Step 3) Write the rest of the clause (including the outcome associated with the person or thing's action in Step 2)
