The quiz was won by someone. 和 The quiz has been won by someone. 的差別在哪裡？如果不好說明，請提供一些例句。

I'm reading "Grammar in action" and this is an example from the book. The book asserts that the first one is correct, but for me, the second one is more appropriate. Why don't we use the present perfect here?

As usual, it depends on context. In the first case, you're talking about some specific point in the past: The quiz was won by someone last week. In the second case, you're talking about the present state of the quiz: Has the quiz been won yet? Yes, it's been won by someone.

Unfortunately, there is no more context in the book :c
I thought the same and, so, let's assume that I'm right and the second one is more appropriate.
