Human process towards modernization began with adopting agriculture. It all started when humans started cultivating grains in the Near East about ten thousands years ago, and primitive beer appeared along with it. About five thousands years later, the oldest civilization was born in Mesopotamia and Egypt, which built on surplus products of grains yielded by massive systematic agriculture. Thanks to the establishment of these kinds of agriculture, small portion of people were freed from the necessity of work and became priests, bureaucrats, amanuensises, and craftsmen. Beer not only nourished residents of the oldest city of this world or the first people to keep a written record, but also was their remuneration and distribution because cereals was the foundation of the economy.
