But if you are talking about yourself, an airplane, a bus, I’d use “to”. And if you have any doubt about any transportation mode, use “to”. “For” has a slight connotation of a majestic purpose, which works ok for a ship or maybe a wagon train in the Old West, but not so much for an airplane on a routine flight.
