Best way to learn Japanese?
皆さんこんにちは、
As the title suggests, I would like to know what is the best way to learn Japanese! I recently took a college course on Elementary Japanese I to begin my language journey. It was definitely an informative class and ultimately gave me the desire to continue my Japanese education! Other than enrolling in Elementary Japanese II, are there any other great alternatives I could consider? They could be paid as well! Thanks!

It definitely depends on what your goals are with learning Japanese. If you want some basic proficiency to go there on a trip, something like Duolingo would be fine. If you want to learn it to near native fluency, I would recommend looking at these guides/methods:

tl;dr: read, watch, and listen to a ton of Japanese (try to find something you are interested in) while trying to learn to understand it. You can use flashcards and grammar study as a tool to help you to understand, but vocab and grammar study are not substitutes for immersion.
