I’m listening to this song and there is the sentence “โอใจไยเจ้าจึง ไม่ลืม ไม่ลืม” in its lyrics. And the translation is “Why haven’t I forgotten?”.

I wonder what does “ใจไยเจ้าจึง” mean? What’s the meaning of “ไย”?

But would you mind if I ask one more question? I wonder how Thai people use the word "จึง" ka. I look up it on dictionary and know that its meaning is some thing like "therefore", "so". But I saw it's also often put before a verb and seem like people don't translate it as "therefore, so". Or it is omitted when translating or it's used to emphasize a verb?
