They can mean the same thing (something is strange) if you use a specific tone that is rising. But of course funny can be used for comedic things and interesting can be used for things you find intriguing.

@kylexavier could you pleases tell me a story which is interesting or a preson who is interesting？？ describing a interesting person in detail is too difficult for me

For me personally, something that is interesting is something/someone that attracts my attention and I want to know more about it. e.g I find space interesting. However, I don't find space funny. Funny is something I use for things that specifically make me laugh, such as jokes, movies or comedians.
