Burned, Leaned, Learned... 和 Burnt, Leant, Learnt 的差別在哪裡？如果不好說明，請提供一些例句。

Why there are verbs that have two variations? Is it a question of preference or part of the accent from different regions of the country?

It’s the difference between American English and British English. Americans would use “-ed” while British English users would use “-t”

for the most part, -t is UK and -Ed is USA

(also, some verbs mean diffrent things with -ed vs -t, not all verbs do this though)

@KurtScaze tried to look it up, didn't find any. maybe it's just my dialect.

for me, for verbs that can end with either:
learned, learnt
dreamed, dreamt
kneeled, knelt

-ed: it happened in the past
-t: it happened in the *far* past

for example:
today, I learned how to...
last month, I learnt how to...

@KurtScaze southern USA, my family uses AAVE. so obviously, aave was my first dialect.
