@misokatsu Saying "I'll thank you to..." expresses a demand of someone. It implies that the person will be thanked at a future time when that demand is met. But the "thank you" is not meant literally. Usually the phrase is used in a condescending tone.

I found the sentence "I'll thank you to take your hands off my wife" in the miniseries "Outlander". I just wondered if the phrase "I'll thank you to do something" was the same as "Thank you for doing something."
