I think the original sentence was "it's my fault". In that case means: that you are the one to blame for the action that happened.

A-who broke my favorite vase?!?!?
B-I am so sorry. It's my fault. I was playing inside the house and I accidentally hit it.

I think what your trying to say is "It's my fault".

"Fought" is similar to the verbs 揉める and 戦う.
Definition: To argue or to attack someone.

Fault means something like 所為.
Definition: Responsibility for an accident

Examples for "fault"
- "It's my fault he got injured"
- Person A: "What did you do?!"
Person B: "His fault for tripping me over."

Your explanation is easy to understand!!

My friend send me "It's my fought. ", and I couldn't understand that meaning. Then, I looked up the meaning of "fought". According to dictionary, "Suppress " and "battle" are the part of that meaning.
I thought that my friend said me "I don't agree with your opinion but I'll stand saying my opinion any more."
However, now l understand that my friend may wanted to say "It's my fault. ";)
