"In case you don't know, xxx." That is the structure. XXX is the thing they should know. It is slightly condescending. "If you don't know." Can be followed by a number of things, it's not exactly a structure like that.

I agree with bugman but there is one more thing you should know that when you say "in case" it almost sounds like a contingency plan like backup!
