@Nao4278 why is it that some Japanese get so nervous with foreigners? There's 2 times that stand out for me. 1 was in a hotel in Tokyo and I was just asking some basic questions to the receptionist and she was so nervous and talking fast. I was surprised because I thought she would be used to foreigners. And right now I live in a village in Ibaraki and a store clerk was really wound up when I asked a couple questions. This I understand more because I'm the only White guy in town and she didn't know much English, but I'm curious why it's somewhat common for people here to be nervous.

1. Amerians eat a lot.
2. Americans are extreme.
3. Americans are loud.
I am sure the above does not apply to all Americans, and I rather sympathize for those Americans who are small eaters and shy.

All Japanese learned just English grammar at school.
So, we know basic English grammar.
However, Japanese tend to think English grammar should be correct
when we speak English.
That's because we feel pressure speaking English.

@amenoshita I usually ask in English or use Google translate since I don't know Japanese. But if someone came to me and only spoke Japanese in USA, I could pull out my phone and ask them to type what they want to say. It's not so much the language as I understand that they won't know English like I do, I'm more confused by the behavior of getting hyper excited and nervous.
