thats why we were always worried about you when you would go 是什麼意思
The sentence is past tense. However, "would" is future tense. It would be past tense?
Also "always" is present tense.
So I'm so confused the grammar. What does the sentence mean?
They were worried about me (past tense)
When I would go (past/present or future?)
彼らが私を心配していたのは過去ですよね。
私がそこへ行く時というのは未来の話ですか。それともこの文章は全て過去の話なのでしょうか。
Also "always" is present tense.
So I'm so confused the grammar. What does the sentence mean?
They were worried about me (past tense)
When I would go (past/present or future?)
彼らが私を心配していたのは過去ですよね。
私がそこへ行く時というのは未来の話ですか。それともこの文章は全て過去の話なのでしょうか。

The sentence is in the past tense.
You are wrong to think "always" = present tense. "Always" isn't a tense. You can use always in a number of tenses - "I always loved you" (past) "I have always loved you" (perfect) "I always get up at seven-thirty" (present) "I will always love you" (future)
You are wrong to think "would" is always the future tense. "Would" can be used to mean past, habitual actions. For example "When I was a boy I would go fishing with grandpa." (="When I was a boy I used to go fishing with grandpa)
So here "when you would go" means the same as "when you used to go"
