Nothing. "Hit the sack" is just a slang term for "going to bed".
If you want to get picky, I would say "hit the sack" is something said by someone who's at least a teenager.
It would sound very strange for a 6 year old to say, "I'm tired. I'm going to hit the sack." It would be perfectly normal for a 16 year old.
